Service Description

Step 1 — Inspection & Assessment Every gown begins with a detailed inspection. We examine the fabric composition, construction, embellishments, lining, and any pre-existing damage or staining. We note every detail — beadwork, sequins, lace, boning, buttons — before anything else happens. You'll know exactly what we found and what we plan to do about it.

Step 2 — Pre-Treatment Stains are addressed individually, not generically. Champagne, wine, food, makeup, sweat, and hemline soil each require a different approach. We apply targeted pre-treatment solutions appropriate for your specific fabric — whether it's silk charmeuse, duchess satin, chiffon, lace, or tulle — before the primary cleaning begins.

Step 3 — Expert Cleaning Your gown is cleaned using the method best suited to its construction and fabric. Many gowns require gentle hand-finishing or specialized wet cleaning rather than standard dry cleaning. Our team is trained in both, and we choose the process that protects the integrity of your dress while delivering the deepest clean possible.

Step 4 — Finishing & Pressing After cleaning, your gown is carefully steamed and pressed by hand. Every layer, every seam, every detail is attended to. The goal is a dress that looks as close to the day you wore it — or the day you bought it — as possible.

Step 5 — Preservation Packaging or Garment Return For preservation orders, your gown is folded using acid-free tissue, placed in an archival preservation box or breathable garment bag, and sealed to protect against environmental damage. For cleaning-only orders, your gown is returned in protective garment packaging, ready to store, wear again, or display. Every gown leaves our care looking exactly as it should.
